Warehouse safety signage

Our client operates a busy distribution warehouse, with a large fork truck traffic volume. They required some urgent safety signage to be installed to comply with health and safety, and to prevent any accidents.

Over a weekend we installed 12 large no stopping zones to all blind corners around the warehouse road ways.

Preparation:

The current surface where the signage was to be installed was polished concrete. So we had to grind the surface to remove and contaminants and achieve the required surface key. Once the preparation was complete the grinded concrete was sealed with a clear epoxy primer.

The completed preparation.

Demarcation:

The next step once the primer had cured was to mask out the hash-box lines on the floor. Once this was complete a coat of Epoxy Line marking paint was applied.

 Finishing Touches:

Finally the Safety signage was installed. Once the stencils where in places a coat of white epoxy line marking paint was applied.

Our Services.

Floor Painters ltd, are applicators of many polyurethane or Epoxy floor and wall systems; covering the whole of the United Kingdom. Here are a few of the services we provide:

Epoxy Solvent Free Coating

When hygiene is important you must ensure that the resin system selected can provide a functional and durable surface capable of meeting the rigorous cleaning requirements expected today.
We offer a comprehensive range of hygienic resin systems for floor and wall applications, for use in environments that demand safe, durable and easy to clean finishes.

Line Marking and Signage

In today's health and safety conscious environment, clear demarcation of safe areas is vital. Whether the requirement is for coloured walkways or simply lines to identify pathways then we can offer a resin system to meet your needs.

Chemical Resistant Coatings

Chemical resistant systems must provide the end user with the confidence that when a chemical breach occurs, the protection afforded by the resin lining provides the opportunity for the spillage to be safely dealt with.

MMA (Methyl Methacrylate)

Our MMA resin systems offer a diverse range of solutions, all with a rapid return to service, coupled with excellent clean ability and durability. From smooth systems, to broadcast or trowel quartz systems, or systems incorporating a coloured flake, a hygienic floor with the desired slip and chemical resistance can be achieved within a day and allowed back into service normally within 2 hours of completion, even at sub-zero temperatures.

Arrive in Stromness

Stromness is the second most populated town in Orkney, Scotland. It is in the south-west of Mainland Orkney. It is also a parish, with the town of Stromness as its capital.

From Stromness we travelled to Kirkwall the biggest town and capital of the Orkney Islands, off the coast of northern mainland Scotland.

We then travelled to Houton to catch the ferry to the island of Flotta
